THE BRIEF

King Edward VI HGS required a wireless installation across their entire campus. With approximately 1,100 students and 120 staff, the project needed a robust solution that could support a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiative on a 1:1 ratio, allowing students to log in to a secure controlled environment. The existing wireless system was outdated, lacking the capacity for expansion, and unable to meet current demands.

As a preferred supplier to the trust, ACS IT Services was called upon to deliver a fit-for-purpose solution with a lifespan of at least 10 years.

Our Approach

The Outcome

The Customer

Paul White, the Trust ACS IT Services Account Manager, took the reins in coordinating the entire process. He reached out to several vendors to arrange demos, allowing the school team to compare and evaluate products through detailed calls and discussions. Communication played a vital role in ensuring that the right product was selected.

Budget management was also a top priority. Paul ensured the project remained within the school's financial plan while meeting the tight timeline of completing the installation before the end of the summer holidays.

The installation process was executed smoothly, without delays, and communication was maintained with the school's IT department throughout.

The installation was completed on time and within budget, exceeding the client’s expectations. No remedial work was necessary post-installation. While ACS IT Services' support team was on standby to assist, the implementation went so smoothly that their services were not required.

“We advised Paul White in ACS IT Services of the project and the issues we were facing. ACS IT Services created a solution that not only met compliance requirements but also added value to the overall project. The communication with Paul was excellent and played a key role in the project’s success. ACS IT Services moved quickly and efficiently, delivering a solution that fit perfectly within our timelines. We are extremely pleased with the final outcome and the service provided by ACS IT Services.”
